VIDEO: Hardest Super Mario Maker level beaten after 11000 tries

Super Mario Maker lets players build entertaining, inventive, and sometimes downright dastardly levels. PangaeaPanga is responsible for this piece of work, which took speedrunner Bananasaurus Rex more than 11,000 attempts to crack.

As you can see from the video, the Bomb Voyage level takes an incredible amount of patience and skill. One wrong move or mistimed jump means failure.

Bananasaurus Rex revealed that he practiced for around an hour before trying the level, before switching on the camera and recording unsuccessful attempts for more than two hours. He said that he finally beat the level after two hours and forty-two minutes of recording.

Super Mario Maker requires level creators to beat their own level before they can upload it. We don’t even want to imagine how long it took PangaeaPanga to make and beat it himself.

Of course, now PangaeaPanga is taking it upon himself to make even more difficult levels. The rest of us mere mortals will just have to be content with watching videos of successful runs.
