VIDEO: Siri interrupts White House press briefing
During a somewhat long-winded question regarding the Iran nuclear deal, you can hear the familiar chime of Siri tuning in to offer assistance. When Press Secretary Josh Earnest was asked if President Obama was "upset" that he couldn't get any Republicans on board, Siri gave her response.
In her typical no-nonsense approach Siri said, “Sorry, I'm not sure what you want me to change." She’s got comedic timing; you have to give her that.
The reporters certainly had a good time, and even Earnest managed to crack a smile, perhaps thankful that he had a few extra seconds to process the analogy and question that had just been thrown at him.
Siri will soon be listening for a prompt that users want her assistance. This may prevent situations like this, which might have occurred because someone accidentally pressed the key for too long. Or it might cause her to stick her nose in more often. Time will tell.
