VIDEO: The GoPro that went to space and was lost for 2 years

Sometimes, people attach their GoPro cameras to small balloons and launch them into space. And sometimes they don't get their cameras back.

This is what happened in June 2013 when a bunch of students created their own 3D printed case and launched a GoPro, Sony camcorder and Samsung Galaxy Note 2 into the stratosphere. The phone was supposed to send a text with a location when the box crash landed but it was too badly damaged. Luckily someone chanced upon it years later and managed to contact the owners.

The result, amazing footage from the Earth to semi-space and back down with a crash.
