VIDEO Awesome story trailer for Uncharted The Nathan Drake Collection
The Uncharted series has had a massive impact on the gaming landscape, bringing a cinematic look and feel to the platforming genre which had never been seen before and becoming one of the most important franchises of the PS3 era. So it's only fitting that we pay tribute to this immense trilogy with a shiny new collection for new-gen gamers.
Uncharted The Nathan Drake Collection is just that - spiffy new versions of Drake's Fortune, Among Thieves and Drake's Deception with updated graphics, streamlined controls and the same amazing gameplay, presentation and storylines.
That overarching story is the subject of today's trailer and you really get a sense of what Nathan Drake has been through over almost a decade, starting with the reveal of him as a teenager during a standout sequence in Uncharted 3 from 2011. Here's the rather excellent trailer.
Right now we're just hugely jealous of people who didn't catch these games the first time around - they get to experience the whole saga without having to wait for two years at a time, and with the best versions of the game on the newer PS4 consoles. Of course this is partly a preamble to the real main event - Uncharted 4. A Thief's End has been confirmed as Nathan Drake's last game (at least with him as the main character) and it's already looking like it will be a suitable cap to this amazing adventure. It's set for release by summer 2016.
