Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus has better battery life than Note 5

Samsung launched two handsets last week, the Galaxy S6 Edge+ and the Galaxy Note 5. Naturally, the devices’ batteries have been scrutinised and the Galaxy S6 Edge+ comes out on top.

Someone at Phone Arena managed to get their hands on both devices to put them through their paces. A strenuous battery life benchmark test found that the Galaxy Note 5 lasted 9 hours and 11 minutes compared to the Galaxy S6 Edge+’s 9 hours and 29 minutes.

Both phones are equipped with a 3000mAh battery and 5.7-inch displays, though the Galaxy S6 Edge+ has its screen curved around the edges.

The Galaxy Note 5 compared favourably to its predecessor though despite packing a smaller battery.

The Galaxy S6 Edge+ will be available from September. The Galaxy Note 5 will only be available in the US for the time being; it will be released on August 21st.
