Student loses Facebook internship after creating App that exploited privacy flaws on Messenger

A Harvard student who developed an App that exploited the privacy flaws on Facebook’s Messenger lost his internship with the company.

It showed that users of Facebook messenger could pinpoint exact locations of people they were talking to.

Facebook asked the intern to disable the App. A week later Facebook released a messenger App update addressing the flaw that a company spokesman said had been in the works for months.
