Motorola sends out invites for July 28th event

Motorola wants people to break up with their smartphones. It’s sending out invites to a July event with the cryptic message, “Your relationship status is about to change."

It signs off the note with “XGX, Moto." This may subtly hint that we’ll see new versions of its Moto X and Moto G handsets on the day.

It’s also possible that Motorola will launch a second-generation version of the Moto 360 smartwatch.

Motorola has streamlined its portfolio of new devices to just a handful of products each year. The Moto X is the manufacturer’s flagship device, but it has seen some success in the more budget-friendly market with the release of the Moto G and Moto E.

Motorola has not provided any additional details about the upcoming event. We don’t have long to wait; this mysterious event will take place on July 28th in both London and New York.
