VIDEO Tom Cruise 'scared s**tless' in airplane stunt!
We've got a lot of time for Tom Cruise - from his passion for bringing sci-fi projects to the big screen (something we don't get enough of) to his incredible work ethic. And we're also pretty fond of how he'll put himself totally into harm's way to capture stunts you've never seen before.
For his new film Rogue Nation he's taken it not only further but higher than ever before. By hanging onto the side of an airplane which was actually taking off and managing to get up to a ridiculous 5000 feet.
And now we get a glimpse of how its done with this behind the scenes video and - most impressively - some raw footage straight from the camera which was also mounted onto the plane.
Wow.
The biggest takeaway from this is that Cruise himself is genuinely scared by the stunt - he's not a crazy person with a deathwish but is just as fearful as you would expect. And yet he did it eight times and that was all in aid of creating the best stunt possible to entertain his audience. There's no doubt this could have been recreated to some degree on the ground with a wind machine and some green screen but there's no denying the impact of seeing it done for real.
We've seen some of the film already and can confirm this isn't the only abuse he puts his body through in the name of entertainment but it will certainly stand as one of the most impressive stunts ever mounted for a film.
