Samsung may reveal new flagships on August 12
Samsung has reportedly set up an event in New York to unveil the phone. Sources at Taiwan-based telecom carriers, cited by Digitimes, are credited with this tip off.
These sources also say that the Galaxy Note 5 will feature a 14nm Exynos processor and a 5.7-inch 2K curved display. The Galaxy Note 5 is also expected to offer 4GB RAM, becoming the first Samsung handset to do so.
As for the Galaxy S6 edge Plus, or Galaxy S6 edge+ as it’s expected to be marketed, the handset will feature a dual-curved 5.7-inch QHD display. It will feature a Snapdragon 808 or Exynos 7420 processor, depending on what sources you listen to, and will offer 3GB RAM.
Samsung has previously shot down reports that it would be altering its announcement schedule, but the rumours refuse to go away. We should hear more about an unveiling event very soon if it is taking place in August.
