Samsung to make better use of Edge displays

Samsung has patented a new software section called Apps Edge that will help its Edge displays serve a greater purpose.

Apps Edge, according to the patent, is “for use in organising and allowing quick access to frequently used applications." This points to a shortcut system of sorts that will be placed on the active side screen of the phone.

Of course, it could also have active tasks preview and other features, as well as a variety of shortcuts.
