Better Call Saul Season 2 will NOT introduce Walter White

Walter White, everyone’s favourite chemistry teacher turned meth manufacturer, will not be appearing in Season 2 of Better Call Saul.

The creator of Breaking Bad and spin-off Better Call Saul, Vince Gilligan, says that he’s open to White appearing at some stage. But it won’t be in the upcoming season. The second season of Better Call Saul will be focusing on the transformation of James McGill into Saul Goodman.

Gilligan said that it would be great to feature White in the show, but that any appearance must be “fitting and organic to the storytelling of Better Call Saul.”

It’s more likely that Bryan Cranston’s character will make a cameo than have a fully-fledged story arc. But it looks like Breaking Bad fans will have to hold on a little bit longer to see more of Heisenberg.

Perhaps this is an indication that Gilligan expects Better Call Saul to run for a few seasons, at least.
