Twitter can a useful tool for following events as they happen, but it’s a bit of a scattergun approach. That’s all about to change as the microblogging service plans to start curating tweets on live events.

Twitter to let users follow events

Users will soon be able to follow events instead of just people. They will be also be able to upload photos and videos about the event that can be shared across websites and social platforms.

Twitter’s own team of editors will curate the most relevant and interesting tweets and media. This means that users can follow a coherent detailing of events rather than being bombarded with every single tweet.
