'Move to iOS' app makes it easier to switch from Android

iOS 9 has a few new clever features, but chief among them is the “Move to iOS” app that makes it much easier to make the switch from Android devices.

The app wirelessly transfers data from Android devices to iPhones and iPads. Apple says that this process can securely copy over "your contacts, message history, camera photos and videos, web bookmarks, mail accounts, calendars, wallpaper, and DRM-free songs and books."

It marks your free apps as suggested downloads in the App Store. The app will also add paid apps to your iTunes Wish List.

Once all your data is transferred over, the Android version of the app then helpfully suggests that you recycle your Android phone for free at any Apple Store.

It’s unclear when the app will be added to the Google Play Store. The Apple version may arrive alongside the iOS 9 public beta, which is due in July.
