Audiobook subscription service Scribd now has all the Game of Thrones books
In case you somehow haven't heard of Scribd here's the skinny - you pay a monthly fee and you can read as many ebooks and listen to as many audiobooks as your eyes and ears can manage in a month. Since 2013, over 17 million hours of material have been digested by the user base. That's a lot of pages.It's a great way to get access to classic books and the company has just signed a deal to bring you even more content. They're now working with booky giants Penguin Random House to add to their growing audiobook collection. 9,000 new titles are set to be added, including the full A Song of Fire and Ice series by George R.R. Martin, which is (as you may know) the basis for the HBO show Game of Thrones.The deal also gives users access to the like of Gone Girl, Wild, The Help, The Blind Side and many more popular titles, with high quality audio recordings often featuring famous names like Christopher Plummer and Kate Winslet. There are also over a million e-books to access, all for 9 quid a month.
