Parents can tag photos of their kids to create a Scrapbook. It’s being pitched as a "modern day baby book," a description that is sure to please preteens everywhere. We’re not sure that children will appreciate the benefits of Scrapbook, but it sounds like a great way to be able to share family photos with those further afield.Facebook product manager Dan Barak explained why the Scrapbook feature is being introduced. He said, “I started seeing friends who were parents adding photos of their kids and tagging their partners... we asked and interviewed a bunch of parents and found 65% of partners who share photos of their kids on Facebook [in the US] do this." He added that he realised that people needed a "better way to organise them."Only parents with access to Scrapbook can tag and add photos. They will also be able to dictate who can see the Scrapbook photos.Scrapbook is currently only available in the United States on iOS, Android, and desktop. It is a pilot feature, which Facebook will be monitoring and responding to feedback on. We may then see it rolled out in other regions. In Short: Facebook is rolling out its new Scrapbook feature, which will let parents tag photos of their kids who are too young to have a Facebook profile.
