The Masters won't feature in Rory McIlroy PGA Tour
Rory McIlroy is yet to complete a career Grand Slam by winning the Masters, and his digital form will have to wait too. EA Sports revealed that the upcoming Rory McIlroy PGA Tour will not feature the Augusta National course and the prestigious Masters tournament.EA sent a statement to Polygon, which revealed that its license with Augusta National expired. As a result, “it does not currently appear in EA Sports Rory McIlroy PGA Tour.” The statement added, “We will continue to examine opportunities to include this world-class course in the game."This suggests that there is the possibility that it will be added further down the road. Perhaps it will appear as DLC post-release.The Augusta National course and the Masters itself have been fairly recent additions to EA’s long-running golf series. The last three titles, all of which bore Tiger Woods’ name, have included them. But they were released in March, ahead of the tournament.The real Masters gets underway this week. Will McIlroy be able to claim the green jacket to give EA even more incentive to renew its license with Augusta National?Rory McIlroy PGA Tour will be released in June 2015.
