Data centre to use less energy

MICROSOFT'S proposed data centre in Dublin will use about half the energy of similar facilities in the US, said Jean-Philippe Courtois, president of Microsoft International.

The installation housing information for Europe, Middle East and Africa customers “will be 50% more efficient than the current generation of data centres that we have in the US,” said Mr Courtois.
