Manufacturing lull drags down Dublin business activity growth

This is the manufacturing sector's first contraction in three months. 

A contraction in the manufacturing sector dragged down growth in business activity in Dublin during the first quarter of the year, the latest Purchasing Managers Index for the county shows.

The latest PMI reading for the capital stood at 52.6 - down slightly from 54.7 at the end of 2024. Readings above 50 indicate growth in a sector.
