The price of crude oil jumped by over 2% on concerns of a broadening conflict in the Middle East after Israel rejected a ceasefire offer from Hamas.

Brent crude climbed $2.13 to $81.34 a barrel, breaching the $80 a barrel for over a week, as it extended into a fourth straight session of gains.
