Irish firms sharpen focus on data safety as 72% too open to attack
Jason Ward, vice president and managing director, Dell Technologies Ireland, is using Cybersecurity Awareness Month to highlight both the threats and issues now facing Irish businesses and the way organisations in Ireland need to build their cyber resilience.
Only 28% of Irish firms say they have a well-defined incident response strategy in response to a cyber attack, according to the Dell Technologies Cyber Resilience Survey 2022.
Dell highlighted the responses of Irish businesses at the firm’s recent Forum event, which was hosted in partnership with Intel and Microsoft. All of the responses point to strong awareness of the need to tighten data security, with remote working among the key factors fuelling the urgency of these reviews.
