SUBSCRIBEEstate agency Knight Frank Ireland has marked the launch of its Cork business with an event bringing together leading figures from Ireland’s property and business community at the historic Cork Savings Bank on Lapp’s Quay.
The event celebrated Knight Frank’s growing presence in Cork and its investment in a senior, locally based team, combining deep regional expertise with the firm’s national and international network.
Guests heard from John Cummins, Minister of State for Planning and Local Government, and Anne Heraty, Cpl Resources founder and chair of Sherry FitzGerald, in separate conversations hosted by Ian Kehoe, editor of The Currency.
Minister Cummins discussed unlocking housing delivery and the critical role of infrastructure, planning and investment in supporting future development. Anne Heraty reflected on her experience building Cpl from a start-up into an international business, sharing insights on scaling companies, leadership and creating the conditions for long-term growth.

David McCarthy, director and head of Knight Frank Cork, said: “The launch is an important milestone for Knight Frank in Cork. Our strong multidisciplinary team brings decades of combined experience working in Cork’s commercial property market and we are backed by the reach, resources and relationships of Knight Frank’s global network.
“Our ambition is straightforward: to combine genuine local expertise with the scale and capabilities of a global business. We’re big enough to scale, and local enough to care.”
Knight Frank’s Cork team is led by David McCarthy; the team also includes directors Margaret Kelleher and Edward Hanafin and associate director Amanda Isherwood. Together, the team brings extensive experience across Cork and the wider Munster commercial property market.
Founded in 1896, Knight Frank operates across more than 50 territories, with 600 offices and 20,000 people worldwide. In Ireland, the firm has more than 100 people across Dublin and Cork and, through its partnerships with Sherry FitzGerald and Simon Brien, forms part of an all-island network of more than 100 offices and 650 people.
