Consultancy firm Pinta has acquired executive monitoring and coaching platform Mentors.ie with plans to invest €125,000 into the business to fund an expanded team and scale the platform beyond its Munster base.

The acquisition, led by Cork men Co-Managing Directors Conor O'Geran and Pat Murphy, will see Pinta take over Mentors.ie from the Brightwater and BPVA Group. The move is set to significantly scale up access to senior business mentoring for SMEs and corporate professionals across Ireland, the UK and North America.

Since January, Mentors.ie panel, has grown from five, based primarily in Dublin, to 20, with a remit that now extends across the island of Ireland, the UK, Europe and North America.

The expanded panel includes former non-executive directors of FTSE-listed companies, providing a virtual leadership team or advisory board for SMEs that may not have access to that level of experience in-house. The panel members have experience across finance, strategy, scaling, management buy-out, personal resilience, leadership skills, team dynamics and more.

Conor O'Geran, Co-Managing Director of Pinta, said: "Mentors.ie has built something valuable - a platform that connects professionals and leaders with mentors who have real, hard-won experience to share. Our investment is about scaling that, significantly increasing the size and breadth of the panel so that more SMEs and more professionals, wherever they are based, can access the kind of senior guidance that's often out of reach."

Mark Sheehan, Business Development Lead, said: "This relaunch is an exciting next step for Mentors.ie. From day one, our focus has been on connecting professionals and leaders with mentors who bring genuine, real-world experience and this investment allows us to do that at a much greater scale. Growing our panel from a handful of mentors in Dublin to a network of over 20 spanning Ireland, Europe, the UK and North America means we can match clients with exactly the right expertise for their challenge, whenever and wherever they need it. We're looking forward to what comes next."
