Irish electrical engineering firm BMC Manufacturing will create an additional 500 new jobs as part of a major expansion plan, it announced on Monday.
The jobs, which will be filled by the end of 2028, will be across engineering, technology, and operations functions, and will be primarily at BMC Manufacturing’s sites in Dublin, but will also include new positions at their Co Meath location. The job expansion plan is being supported by Enterprise Ireland.
BMC's expansion is being driven by an increase in demand for the company’s expertise in design and manufacturing from industry partners and global data centre operators, including Amazon Web Services (AWS).
"We are a proudly Irish company, and we are committed to working with our partners and valued clients to continue to deliver innovative and much needed solutions for critical global infrastructure, which are shaping the future by powering evolving technology and digital solutions. This expanded workforce will strengthen our operations and drive further growth, and we are delighted to have received significant support to enable this from Enterprise Ireland," said BMC Manufacturing founder and chair Brendan Meehan.
