Kieran McGeary has been leading operations at 96 and C103 for the past 20 years.

Station directors at four of Ireland's best known radio stations including Cork's 96FM, Dublin's FM104, Limerick's Live95, and Louth's LMFM are leaving their roles as part of a review of operations at audio and media giant Onic.

Onic was formerly known as Wireless Ireland, and is part of Rupert Murdoch's News UK. Onic has confirmed that station directors Kieran McGeary at 96FM and C103 in Cork, Viv Nagle at FM104/Q102 in Dublin, Joe Nash at Live95 in Limerick - Mr Nash also presents a weekday talk show on the station - and Michael Crawley at LMFM will all leave their roles as station directors the business in the next few weeks, as Onic reviews its Irish operations.

“While the landscape remains challenging for all media businesses, we remain focused on evolving Onic to ensure our long term success, leaning on digital transformation, operational efficiency and a proven track record of delivering great content to our loyal listeners," an Onic spokesperson told the Irish Examiner.

Earnings at Onic last year declined by 19% to €2.2m, accounts published earlier this month showed, due to reduced revenues and increased costs.

Originally from Waterford, Mr McGeary has been leading operations at 96FM and C103 for the past 20 years. He was previously the chief executive at the launch of Beat 102 103 in Waterford, and worked extensively in media in the UK.
