Kerry pelleting technology company CFE has been acquired by process manufacturing and design company CPM, it was announced on Friday.
CFE, headquartered in Castleisland, are suppliers of aftermarket consumables, pelleting equipment, and engineering services to the animal feed and biomass sectors across Ireland and the UK. The company was founded at Compound Feed Engineering (CFM) in 1996 by Con Lynch and Pat Dennehy and employs 61 people at four locations.
The acquisition will not mean any changes for clients and partners as it remains business as usual at CFE. CFE has already carried CPM’s product line of equipment since 2010. “Over 30 years we’ve built a global business with a superb team in Ireland and the UK,” said Con Lynch, CEO of CFE. “With the firepower that CPM will provide, our team will take new opportunities to innovate and expand into new markets for the benefit of our customers, employees and stakeholders."
CPM chief executive Dave Webster said: “CFE brings the kind of practical technical knowledge, local support, and customer focus that fits well with CPM’s aftermarket strategy in Europe. Together, we’ll be better positioned to support customers across the full lifecycle of their equipment. Their experience, technical knowledge, and commitment to customers are a strong addition to our business.”
