Cork law firm O’Flynn Exhams appoints two new associates
New roles at O’Flynn Exhams: Amy Horgan, Micheál Ó Mulláin, managing partner, and Kathryn Buckley.
Kathryn Buckley and Amy Horgan have been appointed as associates with O’Flynn Exhams Solicitors. Both are graduates of OFX’s trainee programme.
Micheál Ó Mulláin, managing partner at OFX, said: “Amy and Kathryn are part of our broader strategy to grow the business and increase our solicitor numbers to at least 30 by 2029 to match growing demand for our services. We are committed to servicing the businesses across Munster and beyond to make the most of opportunities available to them in the current climate.”
Kathryn Buckley has been appointed to the firm’s corporate and commercial department with a focus on data protection. She completed her masters in Advanced Legal Practice through Leeds Beckett University and The Law Society of Ireland.
Amy Horgan has been appointed in firm’s litigation and dispute resolution department. She spent the last two years combining work and study for the Professional Practice Course hybrid programme with The Law Society of Ireland.
Both are Cork natives, studied law at UCC and began their legal careers with the firm – Kathryn as an intern in 2020 and Amy as a receptionist in 2022.
They have since combined their professional qualifications with a rotation across each of the firm’s departments in accordance with the structure of the firm’s coveted trainee programme, which focuses on hands-on client-facing legal experience in preparation for the everyday work of an associate lawyer.
