Former Irish Examiner editor Tom Fitzpatrick brings 20 years of experience to his new role as a director with Springboard Communications.
The PR agency, with offices in Cork and Dublin, has plans to expand its portfolio of clients in Ireland and overseas. The Irish partner of Worldcom PR Group, Springboard advises clients in sectors including tech, corporate, public sector, renewable energy, life sciences and social enterprise.
In his new role, Tom will advise organisations on reputation management and on navigating complex communications challenges.
“After many years in journalism, moving into a director role with Springboard felt like a natural next step,” said Tom. “I’m looking forward to working with clients as they navigate an increasingly complex communications environment.”
Tom led the Irish Examiner newsroom through a period of significant transformation. During his tenure, he drove the growth of the title’s digital subscription strategy, championed high-impact public interest journalism and led multi-disciplinary teams delivering award-winning reporting.
Tom was also previously the editor of Construction News, the B2B construction sector publication, based in London.
Susie Horgan, founder and MD of Springboard Communications, said: “Tom’s experience and perspective will be hugely valuable as we continue to grow and evolve our client offering.”
Founded in 2011 in Cork, Springboard’s team includes strategists, digital natives, creatives and writers sectors offering communications advice to a broad range of industry sectors.
