Facilities management firm acquires Top Security

Facilities management company OCS Ireland has announced it has completed the acquisition of security firm Top Security.
Top Security has more than 300 employees which will be brought to OCS in Ireland, increasing OCS’s workforce to almost 4,000 people. Top Security has offices in Cork, Dublin, and South Africa.
The company was founded 40 years ago and operates a nationwide monitoring network.
OCS said the acquisition “enhances” its technology-enabled security capability, expanding its remote monitoring services, control room operations, communications resilience, and Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) capabilities.
Chief executive of OCS UK and Ireland Daniel Dickson said Top Security has “built a strong reputation in the Irish market for its monitoring expertise and security technology capability”.
“Bringing the business into OCS enhances our ability to deliver technology-enabled security services and integrated facilities management across Ireland.”
Chairman of Top Security Group, Emmet O’Rafferty, said being part of OCS “offers a solid platform to further develop our monitoring capabilities while creating new opportunities for our customers and colleagues”.
According to its latest financial statement, for the year ending February 28, 2025, Top Security Limited generated turnover of just under €10.4m up from just under €9m the year prior. From this, it generated a gross profit of €3.2m and an operating profit of €1m.
However, due to exceptional items, the company recorded a loss for its financial year of €5.8m.
