 The American Chamber of Commerce Ireland (AmCham) will once again host its Southern Region Conference and Dinner at the Maryborough Hotel in Cork, with this year’s event taking place on Thursday, September 24, 2026.

The conference and dinner offer valuable opportunities to connect with key stakeholders and business leaders from across the Southern region.

The Southern Conference is free to AmCham members and offers attendees unique insights into the opportunities and challenges facing the region from expert panelists and speakers.

Held on the evening of the conference, the Southern Dinner is AmCham’s flagship annual event in the Southern region. The dinner regularly welcomes distinguished keynote speakers, with past Guests of Honour including EU Commissioner for Democracy, Justice, the Rule of Law and Consumer Protection Michael McGrath, and An Taoiseach Micheál Martin TD.

AmCham’s 2026 US-Ireland Business Awards and Annual Dinner.  

The American Chamber of Commerce Ireland (AmCham) will announce the shortlist for its 2026 US-Ireland Business Awards in Q1 of 2026.

These prestigious Awards, recognise inspiring individuals, teams and organisations who have strengthened the US-Ireland business, trade and investment relationship across three categories including Global Leadership, Global Community and Global Impact.

Global Leadership Award 

The Global Leadership Award is presented to an individual who has made a significant positive contribution to US–Ireland business relations and who demonstrates a strong commitment to inclusion and gender equality. Recipients may come from a wide range of sectors, including business, education, research, the public sector and culture.

Previous recipients of this Award include Martin Cotter of Analog Devices (2025), Gerry Kilcommins, formerly of Medtronic (2024), and Lorna Martyn of Fidelity Investments (2023).

Global Impact Award

The Global Impact Award recognises a team or organisation for a project that has delivered a significant positive impact on markets or society at a global or international level. This impact may relate to areas such as research, development and innovation, talent development, advanced manufacturing (Industry 4.0–5.0), digitisation and AI, sustainability, or supply chain innovation.

Previous recipients include Alltech (2025) for its strategic vision, Working Together for a Planet of Plenty®; Intel Ireland (2024) for its Fab 34 manufacturing facility; and ICON (2023) for its role in the development of vaccines and treatments during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Global Community Award 

The Global Community Award, this Award is presented to an individual, team or organisation, including US MNCs, that has had a positive societal or community impact in an area that is aligned with the values of AmCham and our membership.

Previous recipients of the Global Community Award include Microsoft Ireland and Maynooth University (2025) for the All-Ireland STEM Passport for Inclusion programme; Bank of America (2024) for its Mná na hÉireann, Women of Ireland Fund; and Qualtrics (2023) for its 5 for the Fight EMEA initiative.

The winners of the 2026 US-Ireland Business Awards will be announced at AmCham’s Annual Dinner, which takes place on Thursday, 28 May 2026.
