Wendy's opened its first Irish restaurant last October in Cork.

Fast food chain Wendys will open its second Irish restaurant after hailing the "fantastic response" to its outlet in Mahon Point in Cork.

Corrib Oil is the franchise partner in the Irish market for US-headquartered Wendys, and opened the Mahon Point outlet in October. On Tuesday, Corrib Oil confirmed the second Wendy’s location in Ireland at Tullamore Retail Park in Co Offaly,. The new restaurant and drive-thru will open in May, with recruitment underway.
