When it comes to delivering challenging infrastructure projects, few companies have demonstrated the same mix of commitment, flexibility, and quality as Apex.

From 2023 to 2025, the company played a pivotal role in complementing and strengthening Enerveo’s own workforce — providing additional skilled trades personnel and back-office support as Enerveo drove toward completion of the nationwide Public Lighting Energy Efficiency Project (PLEEP), targeted for early 2026.

This ambitious national programme saw local authorities across Ireland upgrade their public lighting networks to modern LED luminaires — a move designed to reduce electricity consumption, lower maintenance costs, cut CO₂ emissions, and support Ireland in meeting its statutory energy-efficiency obligations.

Apex Global Resources has worked with Enerveo, a multi-disciplinary contracting business, providing additional skilled trades personnel and back-office support as Enerveo drove toward completion of the nationwide Public Lighting Energy Efficiency Project (PLEEP), targeted for early 2026.

With Ireland’s legally binding 2030 climate targets and the wider aim of climate neutrality by 2050, Enerveo required robust, reliable support to maintain programme delivery. Apex stepped in to seamlessly integrate with Enerveo’s teams, providing skilled trades and white-collar professionals who ensured the programme remained on schedule even in the most challenging conditions.

According to Rory O’Connor, contracts manager with Enerveo, Apex’s ability to enhance and supplement the existing workforce made a significant difference across the Munster region. Many of these working environments required exceptional care, coordination, and adaptability.

“Never an issue with Apex when it came to delivering skilled personnel — courteous in nature and highly motivated to achieve all the milestones laid down in the programme,” O’Connor notes.

But PLEEP is just one facet of Apex’s expanding capabilities. In recent years, the company has extended its operations across northern Europe — including Sweden, Denmark and several other markets — primarily supplying specialist staffing solutions for large-scale data centre and pharmaceutical projects.

Apex has supported major engineering teams with project managers, supervisors, and skilled tradespeople, playing an integral role in the successful delivery of technically complex builds.

Seanie McGrath, managing director of Apex, highlights that the past year has been one of strong performance and sustained client trust.

“We’re delighted with how the year has gone, particularly with some of the larger projects we were involved in," he said. "But some of our longest-standing customers are those where we’re supplying just two to five resources on an ongoing basis. We like to think the quality of service — no matter how big or small the project — remains the same.”

Looking ahead, Apex is preparing for continued growth. The company plans to expand its presence both in Ireland and overseas in 2026, having already strengthened its internal team to support this next phase. With a customer base that now spans the engineering, life sciences, manufacturing, supply-chain, and food-production sectors, the outlook remains exceptionally positive.

As McGrath puts it: “The future is indeed bright.”
