Home furnishing brand Jysk confirmed it will open its latest outlet in Mahon Point in Cork next month as turnover in Ireland and the UK hit €136.5m.

The new store in Mahon Retail Park will open to the public on Thursday, December 11 at 9am – the company's 30th store in Ireland and its fifth in Cork alone. Looking forward to 2026, Jysk will open six new Irish stores.

JYSK opened two new stores during the last financial year in Blackpool, in Cork city and in Tullamore in Co Offaly, and welcomed 2.7m customers in stores and online across Ireland and the UK. Worldwide, JYSK welcomed 13.7 million new customers in its stores and online.

Jysk delivered record results on both turnover, earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT), and number of new customers in the financial year 2024/25. In Ireland and UK, turnover increased by 13.6% to €136.5m, and EBIT reached €10.4m.

“The strong turnover results for the 2024/25 financial year highlights the resilience of the Jysk concept in a retail environment challenged by global uncertainties and cautious consumer sentiment. Our ongoing investment in Ireland through our ‘dark store’ online warehouse concept, our new B2B offering, and new head office, demonstrates our commitment to the Irish market and our customers," said Jysk UK and Ireland country director Roni Tuominen.

"We continue to bring affordable, high-quality home furnishings to customers, we always deliver value, and we are committed to reaching even more customers across the country with our store expansion strategy. Jysk has become a trusted household name in Ireland, since we launched in 2019, and that is something we are very proud of.”

Globally, Jysk's turnover increased by 11.8% to €6.2bn, in a year where Jysk opened 148 new stores this year and operates over 3,575 stores, across 50 countries.

In the past twelve months, JYSK also launched its “dark store” concept in logistics, with delivery time improvements, and increased assortment and mattresses delivery via the online store. Since opening in November 2024, Jysk has processed over 110.000 customer orders for IE and UK customers.

Jysk also launched a new business-to-business division.

JYSK also recently invested €250,000, in a new head office in Park West Business Park in Dublin. The new head office houses up to 50 JYSK head office employees across all departments.
