Ireland's attractions see stagnant visitor numbers

The Association of Visitor Experiences and Attractions has said two-thirds of its members have reported flat or reduced visitor numbers year-to-date.
Tourist visits to Ireland biggest attractions continue to fall short of pre-pandemic levels, with two-thirds of operators reporting flat or reduced visitor numbers so far this year, the Association of Visitor Experiences and Attractions (AVEA) has said.
This comes following new figures from the Central Statistics Office (CSO) showing monthly tourism figures increased during August, for the first time in a year, by just 1%. However, the number of nights stayed and money spent by tourists has declined.
