Two directors appointed to the board of 'The Irish Times'
Mikie Sheehan has served as chief financial officer to the group since 2020.
The Irish Times Group has appointed two new directors to its board.
The media group, which includes the and titles, along with MyHome.ie and RIP.ie, has appointed David Martin and Mikie Sheehan after non-executive directors Clare Duignan and Rhona Murphy retired from the board in June.
Mr Sheehan has served as chief financial officer to the group since 2020.
He joined the Examiner Group (formerly Landmark Media) in 2013 and has held a number of senior roles, including that of interim managing director of the and .
He began in his career at Deloitte where he qualified as a chartered accountant following completion of a BSc in accounting from University College Cork.
Mr Martin is a fractional executive, strategy consultant, and a former senior director at Google, where he played a leading role in the development of Google Maps global operations.

With a background in electronic engineering, he has worked with Toshiba, with McKinsey as a management consultant, and was head of strategy at eircom (now eir).
Mr Martin was a founding board member of Science Gallery International.
