Lidl issues recall of popular Tower air fryer sold in Ireland due to fire hazard
Lidl has launched a product recall of the Tower 8L Vortx Dual Basket Air Fryer with serial number T17129L due to risk of overheating which may cause a risk of fire. Â
Lidl has launched an urgent recall for a popular air fryer sold in stores, warning that a risk of overheating could "cause a risk of fire".
The supermarket chain has shared a recall notice for the Tower eight-litre dual basket air fryer, which it had sold in its stores. It said all stock with the T17129L product code has been affected.Â
The affected product was sold in March, September, and December 2024 and in April 2025.
Tower is recalling the products "due to risk of overheating", the retailer said. "Tower are recalling the above 8L Vortx Dual Basket Air Fryer with serial number T17129L due to risk of overheating which may cause a risk of fire. If you have purchased the above product please stop using it."Â
Lidl customers can return the product to a Lidl store for a full refund, with or without a receipt.Â
Alternatively, customers can visit https://www.tower-safety.eu/ to register the product for a refund or replacement.Â
"Lidl wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused," the company said.
