Mortgage brokers Finance Solutions has announced plans to create 100 jobs and grow mortgage approvals to €2bn in Ireland by 2027

The company, part of the Howden Insurance group, has opened new offices in Dublin today. Last year, they facilitated just under €1bn in mortgage approvals from over 2,600 applications. Finance Solutions currently holds 10% of the mortgage broker market and expects this to grow to 13% this year.

Data from the Banking & Payments Federation Ireland (BPFI) shows 43,030 mortgages were drawn down in 2024, totalling €12.6bn. While the market saw a 1.3% decline in drawdown volumes year-on-year, in the same period, overall broker market share rose to 46%.

Managing Director Ken Murray said the relocation to Dublin City Centre marks a pivotal moment for the company. "Our ambitions for 2027 reflect our confidence in the market, our commitment to continuous improvement for our clients and partners, and above all, the dedication and expertise of our exceptional team whose hard work has made this growth possible.”

Finance Solutions was founded in 2011 by Murray and specialises in mortgage broking as well as insurance and pensions. In 2023, it was acquired by UK firm Aston Lark as it was rebranding to Howden.

Robert Kennedy, CEO of Howden Ireland, said the acquisition has been a fantastic addition to Howden Ireland. "Their continued ambition is a testament to the strength of their team and leadership."
