Exterior trim panel can detach from the vehicle, making it a road hazard that boosts risk of a crash

Tesla is recalling 46,096 Cybertruck vehicles in the US - nearly all Cybertrucks made up until last month - to fix an exterior panel that could detach while driving, adding to a series of call-backs for the pickup truck since last year.

While Tesla does not break out deliveries of its Cybertrucks, the recalled vehicles would represent a vast majority of the pickups on the road, based on analyst estimates. The Cybertruck is not yet available in Ireland.
