OnlyFans model and content creator among those to appear on Revenue's tax defaulters list

Revenue published 28 cases with total settlements reaching €6.9m
An Irish OnlyFans model and the company he owns are among those appearing on the latest list of tax defaulters published by the Revenue Commissioners.
Matthew Gilbert, with an address in Rathdrum, Co Wicklow, refers to himself online as ‘the Irish Viking’. The online content creator has amassed 2.5m followers on TikTok and more than 200k followers on Instagram.
Mr Gilbert, who previously claimed to make €50k a month through the adult content platform OnlyFans, was the subject of a Revenue level 2 audit case for the under-declaration of income tax.
The settlement was made up of €61k in tax, almost €9k in interest and €18k in penalties for a total of €88.6k.
The case was one of 28 published by the Revenue Commissioners with total settlements of €6.9m.
In addition, Matty Irish Viking Limited, a company of which Mr Gilbert is a director, was also the subject of a level 2 audit case by Revenue for the non-declaration of corporation tax and under-declaration of PAYE/PRSI/USC and VAT.
With an address of 57 Dame Street, Dublin 2, the company's settlement was made up of €191k in tax, almost €18k in interest and €57k in penalties for a combined total of more than €266k. Both settlements have been paid in full.
Topping the tax defaulters list was haulier, Stevenstown Transport Limited, now in liquidation, which traded as Smullen Transport. The settlement totalled €1.8m, €1.76m of which was still unpaid by December 31, 2024.
With an address of Unit 3, Kilcullen Industrial Estate, Kilcullen in Kildare, the company was the subject of a Revenue investigation into the under-declaration of Excise and VAT.
The second-largest settlement was from Shedan Limited, a coffee shop operator, fast food provider, fuel retailer and supermarket, which was subject to a Revenue investigation for the under-declaration of corporation tax, PAYE/PRSI/USC and VAT.
Shedan Limited, with an address of Ballindine, Claremorris in Mayo, paid a total of €659k, which was made up of €335.5k (including more than €4k in surcharges), €198.5k in interest and €125k in penalties.
Cork medical staff provider MRL Healthcare Limited, with an address at 5 Bellevue Court in Frankfield was also the subject of an investigation by Revenue for the under-declaration of PAYE/PRSI/USC.
The company's settlement was made up of €53k in tax, €23k in tax and €15k in penalties for a combined total of more than €92k, all of which remained unpaid as of December 31, 2024.
Revenue also published details of 50 prosecutions they pursued in court, with the total amount of fines and penalties imposed totalling €2.25m.
