Record €105m spent online during Black Friday last year

AIB’s Spend Trend report shows that its customers also spent around €80m in shops

AIB is expecting this Friday's event to be one of the busiest ever in terms of customer spending. 

Irish shoppers broke all online spending records during Black Friday last year with almost 1m transactions being recorded on the day, AIB’s Spend Trend report shows.

In advance of Black Friday this week, AIB has published the spending data from last year’s sales event which shows that around €105m was spent online in 24 hours, up 11% from 2022.
