Cork plant hire firm Charleville Hire and Platform Ltd (CPH) has been acquired by UK equipment rental firm Vp Plc in a deal worth more than €33m.

VP is taking 90% stake in the family-owned and family-run company for an initial cash consideration of €12.1m, with the remaining 10% to be acquired over a three-year period.
