Company insolvencies expected to exceed 900 this year 

The increase in insolvencies in the year to the date has been driven by a 38% increase in Creditor’s Voluntary Liquidation activity

Nearly all of the insolvencies recorded so far this year, 98%, were SMEs. 

The number of company insolvencies this year is expected to grow to more than 900 as the services and hospitality sectors continue to struggle, new data from advisory firm Deloitte shows.

In just the last three months, there have been 238 corporate insolvencies recorded — an increase of 60% compared to last year.
