UK home prices inch up again in June, according to lender

House prices in the UK are now 1.5% higher than they were last year. 

UK home prices increased for the second month in a row in June in signs the market is stabilising following a dip last year, according to one of the top mortgage lenders.

Nationwide Building Society said its measure of prices rose 0.2% during last month after an 0.4% gain during May. Economists had expected there to be no change.
