Life Style Sports posts loss as revenue drops

Sporting goods retailer Life Style Sports posted a loss of more than €300,000 during 2022 after revenues fell by €12m, the company’s latest financial results show.
However, despite the loss during the year, the directors of the company noted the financial results were “satisfactory”.
In the financial year ending September 24, 2022, the company posted revenue of €104m — down from €116m the previous year.
Overall, the company posted a loss of €313,000. In the previous financial year, the company posted €6.7m in profit.
The records show the company’s cost of sales dropped from €62.6m to €57.9m year-on-year, while selling and distribution costs increased by €1.7m.
The company paid no dividends in 2022 and reported net assets of €45m.
