Ryanair sees emptier planes following spat with online travel agents

The airline saw a drop in its load factor following a spat with online travel agents over the last few months.

Ryanair has seen the percentage of seats filled on its airplanes drop to 89% during January after a number of online travel agents stopped selling flights with the airline.

The budget airline had for years accused the websites of adding illegitimate extra charges and launched a series of court cases against them, but appeared to be taken by surprise when they stopped selling the airline's tickets in December.
