Japanese pharma firm Astellas to open €330m Tralee facility

The plans have been described as important for the southwest and the whole of Ireland and a ‘game-changer’ for Tralee.

Astellas the global Japanese pharmaceutical company specialising in transplant, kidney, bladder and cancer drugs is to invest more than €330m in a new, state-of-the-art facility on a 45-acre site in Tralee, Co. Kerry.

A planning application is to be lodged shortly.
