Leo Varadkar promises prompt processing of HMV redundancy applications
The Minister for Social Protection Leo Varadkar has said his department would deal "promptly" with redundancy applications from former HMV employees.
Workers at the chain's Irish stores lost out on their redundancy payments after the company announced it was entering liquidation this weekend.
The company had previously written to staff at the stores in Dublin and Limerick promising to pay the redundancy money.

Minister Varadkar said that eligible staff are entitled to money from the State under the Redundancy and Insolvency Payments schemes.
