Shannon airport sees passenger numbers rise in first six months of 2014

There has been a 15% rise in passenger numbers at Shannon Airport in the first half of the year.

The number of people travelling to Europe from Shannon has grown by more than half, or 54%, with nine new Ryanair flights to the continent, compared to last year.
