9.5% increase in new private cars licenced in May

A total of 7,767 new private cars licensed in May, an increase of 9.5% on the same month last year.

According to the Central Statistics Office, there were 58,890 new private cars licensed in the last 12 months, a rise of 27.4% compared to the same period in 2013.
