The tax take for the year to April was 2% ahead of expectations according to officials from the Department of Finance, however April as a month was down slightly.

The tax take for the year to April was 2% ahead of expectations according to officials from the Department of Finance, however April as a month was down slightly.

Compared to last year there was an increase of 5.6% or 612m collected in the first four months of the year, with €11.5bn collected by the end of April.
