CSO figures show slight rise in cost of living

There has been a slight rise in the cost of living.

New figures from the Central Statistics Office show inflation rose by 0.7% in the year to July.

Increases were recorded in the cost of drink, tobacco, education and food.

The price of furniture, clothing and footwear fell.
